No posts from me last week - and here’s the (actually valid) reason: I took two weeks off from my regular job and from the newsletter to go full crunch-mode on the app. Lots of behind-the-scenes, boring-but-crucial groundwork got done. The kind of stuff that makes the rest of it possible.

And hey - I actually got more done than I expected. That’s rare. Usually I’m the guy playing catch-up. But this time? Nailed enough to ship the very first public beta. Apple gave it the thumbs up, and lads are already poking around. You can too - just follow the link and take a look. Beta’s iPhone-only for now - but don’t worry, Android is on the way. Just... not now. I’ve got two hands, one kid, one three-legged dog, a newsletter, a full-time job, and a pile of other life stuff. Still stuck with just 24 hours in a day and coffee doesn't help anymore.

Honestly, it'd mean a lot if you gave it a look - your feedback is gold. This whole thing is a one-man gig, built for dads by dad. I don’t have time to test theories or the budget to hire anyone who does. I'm neck deep into making the product and just don’t want to be the only one who needs this - I want to make sure it actually helps other dads too.

A few quick notes if you're taking a peek:

Some illustrations are already polished, but yeah—you’ll spot a few rough ones. Those are just placeholders, and they’ll be swapped for proper ones soon.

The content’s still a bit thin, but it’s coming. I just need time to hydrate the app with more good stuff. A few features are still on the way, but the core mechanics are solid and staying as is.

Oh—and one more thing: The Dad Journal is now up on Product Hunt. If you hit subscribe there, you’ll get a heads-up the moment the final version drops. Would mean a lot.

That’s all for now.

Stay strong out there, dads.
