So, me and Alan, we read a lot. We're so old-school, we actually have a local library subscription. We can spend half a day there easily, especially when it’s raining cats and dogs outside (classic Amsterdam, hey). And it's not easy to pick a book nowadays - there are so many to choose from and not every one hits hits us right, many are just meh. So, to further shape this newsletter there will be a second weekly chapter - the dad's book club. It’s where I’ll share what we’ve got stacked on our shelf — the hits, the surprises, the ones that spark a story.
The very first pick for the Dad’s Book Club is - *drum roll* - a book about dads! It’s called My Dad Used To Be So Cool. It’s about a guy who used to be the king of cool, up until something has changed (guess what would that be?). Now he’s only a bit cool — but hey, he’s totally fine with that. Because real cool? Real cool means being there, being silly, and busting out moves from a decade no one asked for.

It’s a great little book - if you find it relatable. It’ll give you a smile, take you back to your “cooler” days, and before you know it, your own story will come spilling out. There aren’t many words in it, which is perfect — because the best part? It becomes your story to tell.
